This app lets you easily search for VW dealers with ID.4 automobiles available for sale in the US.
The initial presentation is a map. If you allow the app to track your location, it should show you the dealers around your current location.
In either case, you can see VW dealers in any region by using the zoom buttons in the lower right hand corner of the map view and dragging the map with your mouse or track pad. You can also zoom by double-clicking on the map, and zoom out by Option-double-clicking.
When the map first loads, it should display markers for all the VW dealers in the displayed region as mini "VW" signs. Then it should change the markers for dealers with ID.4 inventory to "ID.4" insignia. Whichever type of marker it shows, you can click on them to get a few details. The markers should update as you change the map's region. If they don't reflect dealers with inventory, you can try dragging the map slightly to initiate a new attempt at fetching inventory data.
The map loads the latest data available from the VW services every time you launch it. You can refresh the map without relaunching by choosing Refresh from the View menu when you're on the map view.
If your location is available to the app, a Location arrow will appear in the upper left corner of the map. Clicking the arrow resets the map to your location.
In addition to the map view, there is a list view which you can see by clicking the Show List button in the lower right corner. It shows each dealer in the visible map region. You can see each dealer's inventory listed by clicking on the disclosure triangles on the dealer listing's left side. Selecting any car in the list displays another window with additonal details.
You can return to showing the map by clicking the Show Map button in the lower right corner.
You can filter the list to display only specific trim levels, colors and model years.
To do so, display the filter window by clicking the Filter List button in the lower left corner of the list view, or choosing Filter from the List menu. In the filter window, select from the trim level, color and model year sections to refine the list contents. You must select at least one option from each section in order to apply the filters. After you click the Apply Filters button, the list will refresh to reflect your choices.
You can restore the list to its full contents for the dealers in your map selection by choosing Remove Filters from the List menu. You can also press the Option key while you move the mouse over the Filter List button so that its title changes to Remove Filters, and click that. Finally, you can show the filters window, and click the Show All button.
You can display this Help window by choosing ID4 Stock Search Help from the Help menu or clicking the ? button at the bottom of the main window.
